What if the world gets colder 🧊?
Have you heard the news lately? Apparently, the global temperature rose by +2% since 1850 🌡

Have you heard the news lately?
The world is going into chaos.
Every morning & like most humans, I scroll into my Google* News feed and this week’s highlight was:
🌎 🤒 📈 ‘How are we gonna fight against Climate change?
Apparently, the global temperature rose by +2% since 1850.
Time for the Planet already plan to create 100 companies with $1B off people’s 💰.
Even though it is not Earth Day, this is serious guys…
Next to that,
🇹🇷 🇬🇷 🇺🇸’s fires 🔥
🇩🇪 🇧🇪 🇳🇱 🇫🇷 🇨🇳 ‘s water disasters 🌊
🇬🇵 🦠 More Covid cases’ surge countries to close their doors - origin of the virus still unknown, lots of variants out there, vaccine not sure
💰 Bitcoin* (& other crypto) reaches 🔝
🕸 Webflow* is always ready to amaze us with their funny Ads on YouTube.
🎥 TikTok* is the most used app in the world, leaving Facebook for #2 place. The question is how? - Video is more powerful than any other medium.
✨ 3 Americans want to reach the stars in 3 different ways, with lots of 💰
🤫 Hackers continue to leak governments’ secret on the Dark Net
🏋️♀️ Olympics have ended and the 🇺🇸 (113) won the more medals 🏅
🍔 🛴 🚕 40 startups have already been fighting to replicating Uber model for ‘groceries in 5 minutes, delivered to your home’. How far would you go for that Bueno? VCs are ready to finance an economy of servants
😃 + 🎵 = Soundmojis is a thing, apparently.
That made me think 🤔
We build products to solve real-life problems, am I right?
So, how come we still didn’t solve this unimaginably Billion-dollar question?
Let’s take a few examples to illustrate my thoughts.
All these startups and brands that sell products & services online,
Are they ‘green’ enough?
Do they use electricity to produce everything? Is electricity 100% harmless to our planet?
Do they respect the basic rules of selling something in the 21st century?
Do people need another In & Out* next door?
If the new Adidas* collection were to be cancelled, how would customers react?
In my opinion, influencers would go jobless, their followers angry and people would protest and create a revolution.
We’ve become consumers that consume, a bit too much.
We are hungry for literally everything, including innovation.
The new iPad* releases, up there is a queue in front of all 🍎 stores.
1- What if the world was an upcycling system ♻️
Everybody would upcycle (give another life) everything they have, upgrading it with whatever new things, new features that come out. Let’s take Tesla for example. It’s already 100% electric. Imagine buying a cheap Tesla* body and choosing your options to upgrade the car. When auto drive will function, you’ll be able to buy this pack and add it to your current car. So basically, a customized product with possibility to upgrade this product.
A washing machine from Dyson* + the latest filters
A foldable Samsung* + the best camera
A Lime* scooter + the new lithium battery + a helmet
A Fairphone* + modular + sustainable cover + waterproof capacities + dual SIM
You know the drill.
Let's build brick by 🧱, one product
that solves one purpose at a time
that evolves throughout history.
From iPhone* 1 to iPhone 57 Double Plus 🤣
A researcher in the US measured the impact of billion $ saved on producing, selling and utilizing new products, daily.
I choose to vote for Circular Economy 👍
2- What if we share our knowledge to one another, without retargeting for an upsell.
That would be cool, right?
Have you ever wondered why these growth hackers on LinkedIn* offer you free content in exchange for your Comments or your Likes? Two main reasons: notoriety & get money. The role of a growth hacker is to build the most powerful impact to as many people as possible and then, sell you something. This concept may refer to what we call today ‘upselling’ from free to paid content.
What if all tricks and tips on cold emailing was available in a single page… That updates itself!
One Bing search result for 1 keyword.*
Why do we need to spend more than 2 weeks researching on the market instead of just clicking on a button and get to where you want to build? The product’s knowledge, if tested properly on the market, should be right there, at anybody’s fingertip.
A sort of public Miro* (or Felt*) with an unlimited canvas where all users can join this massive brainstorming session.
What if we would use these solutions as a way for people to speak-up their opinions on important conflicts like the one between 🇨🇳 & the 🇺🇸 or Google* X Facebook*. It would be a safe place to share solutions and give a voice to anyone who will.
To sum-up, we would find tougher solutions together, for once, as one.
3- What if tools we all use daily, professionally or personally, would buy themselves #OneforAll
We could pay all our subscriptions in 1 payment and listen to music, watch movies and play games, all at once.
At the same time, reduce your online presence (online payments, mails delivery, etc…)
Imagine you want to build a cold emailing tool, and you are using Pipedrive* as a CRM. You start searching for the best tool, and you will end up with a choice of 20 products that all does the job of sending an email to someone. Is there a better app? Sure. I would pick Lemlist* as the leader and all the others, additional products to help achieve better results. Think Dropcontact* for enriching your contacts and finding the email. The same process will lead to enriching tools to create persona or even analyze the performance.
‘Get everything in 1 app’
The best CRM (Salesforce*) + Slack*
Uber* + Lime* + all the other smaller scooters and bike sharing system out there 🚲
The best bank ever (Revolut*) that let you invest at ease at any asset and centralize wealth. They are getting closer to a concierge service for all with the introduction of crypto-shopping and Travel ✈️
Netflix* + Hollywood + Hulu* + Amazon Prime* + Apple TV* = Streamio*
Miro* + Klaxoon* + Mural*
iCloud* + Alan* + Arthur* = Digital Asset
Customer service is going to be the biggest question of Ecommerce’s growth. Constantly get the best feedback from users and their digital experience. So let’s take: Agents, able to answer any questions in any language about any product or service from anywhere. CS 2.0 that Helpdesk* should do with Gorgias & Onepilot*.
Amazon* + 2M e-commerce out there 🛒
WWW: Webflow* + WordPress* + Wix*
Bubble* + Adalo* + Airtable* + Wix* (they just launched a nocode app builder)
An example that is usually used in MBA’s is how LVMH have succeeded in acquiring smaller luxury brands to be the reference of luxury?
Try to solve this mystery yourself.
4- What if we gather around all the world data and share it #FreeforAll
Imagine if a kick-ass Data Analyst at Google* have access to Facebook*’s back-end.
Imagine this scenario for dating apps. Would have we solved the love mystery by then?
Imagine this for the COVID-19 vaccine or with curing cancer. Any doctor, researcher, parent out there, would share knowledge to one another.
Think Wikipedia + Bloomberg + Facebook + Google
Open-source data for everyone
Imagine you are an applicant, and you are searching for your dream job. Instead of subscribing to a thousand of newsletters and checking manually job boards, you would have one place to go to search, apply and get a job! If your goal is to get a job as fast as possible because you need to pay your rent, OR is it the job of countries to get down the jobless %.
This solution is yet impossible, giving that
‘data is king’
& people’s goal is to keep the data for themselves, twist the numbers and give their opinions on top of it.
This is called ‘Power’.
5- What if intangible assets were to be quantifiable
If you would like to calculate ‘how productive was year 2021 for you, you just can not.
In real-life, we can't measure the real impact every person / company has on this planet. How would we improve? Is it a good thing to live longer?
Some are convinced that we can measure it by calculating someone’s wealth or # followers or any other metric you would care for.
For my second startup, I’ve proved that the immaterial value of jewelry can be calculated, and I even open-sourced my knowledge here.
If it works for jewelry, it can be done for any other value, for any kind of product.
It would look like: Facebook* = 7B people + 2% impact on the world temperature
That would be perfect for CO2 emissions or other environmental impact metrics.
I know that all these propositions are a bit farfetched.
Entrepreneurs’ ego are usually bigger than anything we have ever seen, bureaucratic is an organized nightmare and culture difference is a fact.
But, what we CAN do is respect one another and love our planet so much, that we are ready to save it,
by all mean necessary
because this is the only thing left to do.
