GO OR NO GO #1:
Social Interaction: VR, AR, or MR?
With many companies switching into a remote-first work policy and events going virtual, people need a way to spice-up their Zoom calls with… digital avatars. Welcome to the New Social Interaction Era.
Break the ice 🤔
Virtual Reality (VR) is a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world.
Augmented Reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory, and olfactory.
Mixed Reality (MR) is the merging of real and virtual worlds to produce new environments and visualizations, where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real-time.
The problem🕵🏻♂️
In March, right before the #lockdown, people #stayathome:
They #workfromhome as it was finally allowed
& they were even more productive at work during this period
but, more free time at home equals 13 ways to kill boredom
They avoid being alone all the time and get in touch with long-distance friends
& buy the latest tech products like VR sets #whohasthebestsetupathome
Finally, people’s refuge is the big web #online
The solution it provides💡
Interact more with a physical product (properties, textures, after-effects,…)
Escape reality, at least for a bit #Covid19
Stay in touch with family & friends
Work collaboratively
Create limitless worlds
Some key figures 📊
VR adoption is accelerating thanks to the Oculus Quest. We’ve seen over 100 VR titles break $1 million in revenue, growing the total VR software market by 3x in 2019. Top-grossing VR titles have cleared $10 million in revenue and can reach up to $60 million in sales given the current distribution of headsets in the market so far. [Statista]

I've been overweight since I was a kid, until I got my act together and started exercising. I started my journey to an athlete with small steps in sports and dieting. Then I discovered oculus quest 2 and a couple of sports games. Literally an hour of playing and I'm just exhausted as a rag, then I decided to start a little challenge and record my game via webcam on https://www.screencapture.com/webcam-recorder.html and post it on my social media. Some of my friends who are overweight also supported me and so on the increasing we began almost the entire city to lose weight and get in shape.
